MODULUS AND BOX

首先总结了维持鲁威、柯布西耶、贝聿铭三位建筑大师追寻模数所取得的成就,继而剖析了上海传统的规整、几何化的石库门里弄住宅,指出模数是建筑师进行创作的有效手段之一。随后介绍了以"模数"为设计依据的"上海盒子"住宅区设计创作,我们的目标是创造既有石库门里弄住宅的场所精神又符合工业化生产的新居住区。

First we summarized the achievements being after modulus,which were obtained by Vitruvius,Le Corbusier and I.M.Pei.Second,we analysed the regularity and geometry in Shanghai traditional dwelling——Shikumen.Based on the two parts,we pointed out that'modulus'should be one of useful design skills that was normally used in architecture design.And then we introduced the design of 'Shanghai box'complied with modulus.Our target is to create new residential area having both the spirit of Shi kumen dwelling and suitability for industry construction.
