In the history of narrative literature, Homer's epic Odyssey and Iliad arc original. As followers, Tom Jones and Ulysses are representative works. These two literary works disrupt and undermine not only the narrative distance but also the epic distance of Homer's epic, thus causing their characters' images to fall down step by step, which brings about stylistic variants ranging from the epic style to the novel style. This paper intends to discuss the revelry stage of characters of these three works.
