This article primarily introduces how to design and implement a new ultra-low power consumption data acquisition system using Texas Instruments Incorporated MSP430 Flash series microcontroller. To be suitable to the remote automatic meter-reading, the system used a zero Wastage magnetic sensor as the acquisition forepart, Chinese Meter bus act as data transmitted module. The operational principle, the general designing, hardware circuit, software flow chart and the main programming frame are provided detail by detail in the paper.
