The princi ple and characteristics of thyristor trigger integrated chip TC787 were introduc ed, the application of the chip in AC motor soft-starter controlled by AT89C52 s ingle-chip microcomputer was discussed, and the software, hardware structures of AC motor soft-starter were described in details. Start up the motor smoothly by AC voltage regulating in the startup procedure. Modification of parameter onlin e and save data at power broken improve the system's performance by making use o f the AT24C02 serial EEPROM. The system has the merits of simple structure, easi ly adjusting parameters, as well as good controlling performance, which have bee n proved in the application.
