新年伊始,全国信息产业工作会议在北京隆重召开。信息产业部部长王旭东在大会报告中强调指出,本世纪头20年是我国的重要战略机遇期,是信息产业大有作为的时期。……要全面推进信息产业的改革与发展,努力向电信强国、电子制造强国的目标迈进,为全面建设小康社会作出积极的贡献。为实现这一目标,中国联通、中国网通、中国卫通、中国移动等运营公司在各自的工作会议上,对今年的任务进行了新的部署。中国电信、铁通公司也纷纷加快了改革发展的步伐。
In the beginning of 2004, the working meeting of information industry was held in Beijing. In the meeting, Wang Xudong, Minister of
Information Industry, points out that we should lose no time to promote the changing from the large country into great power in the aspect of information industry. The first two decades of the 21st century are a period of important strategic opportunities, which we must seize tightly and which offers bright prospects for information industry. In order to realizing the changing from the large country into great power in the aspect of information industry, China Unicom, China Netcom, China Satcom and China Mobile, many carriers makes new deployment of the task for this year in each working meeting. Also China Telecom and China Railcom speed up the reform and innovation.
