杂剧《西游记》是元明杂剧中篇幅最长的巨制 ,对长篇小说《西游记》的形成具有重大影响 ,但它的著录流传情况复杂而混乱 ,著作权也存在争论。从该剧的著录和流传情况来看 ,孙楷弟考证该剧作者为杨景贤的结论不宜轻易否定 ;从本剧宫廷本特征和杨景贤的蒙古民族心理、好戏谑、善隐语等方面来看 ,可以进一步肯定其著作权。

Zaju,Pilgrimage to the West,which is the longest monumental work among the Zaju of Yuan and Ming Dynasties,exerts a tremendous influence upon the novel,Pilgrimage to the West.However,the situations about its record and circulation are complex and confused,and there are arguments with the copyright.In terms of its record and circulation,the conclusion made by Sun Kai di that its author is Yang Jing xian shouldnt be easily denied,moreover,we can go a step further affirming his copyright by the features of this Zajus palace script and Yang Jing xians Mongolian national mentality,being keen on banter and enigmatic language.
