Reinforcing high side slops with multiple construction techniques, such as the replacement excavation, the shotconcrete, and the prestressed anchorage cable is verified to be an effective method. It is pointed out that the construction opportunity grasp and quality guarantee are the keys to the achievement of desired results through comprehensive measures. Based on the application of the method to a high side slop of an arch dam, some experiences and lessons are summarized.
