On the Social Character of the Nonpublic Ownership ——An Understanding of Studying the Report of the Party's Fifteenth Congress as well as Deng Xiaoping Theory and a Discussion with Professor Fang

“十五大”在关于非公有制经济历史地位的论述,是对邓小平理论的发展,同时也暗含了非公有制社会性质的规定,继承了邓小平关于社会主义本质的理论,有人认为非公有制经济为社会主义经济,不仅与社会主义本质相悖,而且逻辑推演的前提和中间环节尚无论证。

The elaboration of the historical position of nonpubilc-owned economy in the report of our party抯 fifteenth congress is the development of Deng Xuaoping theory and implies the stipulation of the social character of nonpublic ownership. It also carries forward Deng抯 theory on socialist character. Some people argue that if the nonpublic owned economy is the socialist economy, it is against the socialist character and there is no proof of logic reasoning for it as well.
