Starting from the errors existing in some textbooks regarding the inappropriate representation for work, we point out the errors of the symbol of operational calculus and analyze the cause of such errors. It is has been proved that the grass root cause does not lie in the unsuitable substitution of variables but the malposition between differential and the displacement.
