三国时期,东吴所属之交州被分为交、广二州,不久又合为交州,但最终二州分治。交、广二州在这一时期分合反复的复杂过程有着深刻的政治背景。交、广分治强化了地理上自成单元的交州在行政上的自主性和独立性,从而一定程度上为其在唐末五代时期的独立并最终建立安南国奠定了基础。
