“以古为律”——盛中唐律诗创作的一个倾向

Replacing Regulated Verses with Pre-Tang Poetry:Trend of Regulated Verse Composition in Prosperous and Middle Tang Dynasty

律诗定型后,基于对律诗弊病及古、律诗区别的清醒认识,盛、中唐有些诗人在重古轻律思想的驱使下,借鉴古诗的创作精神改造律诗,出现了"以古为律"的创作倾向。独孤及、元稹、白居易和《文镜秘府论》对此都有理论表述;杜甫天宝后期的律诗继承了汉魏古诗的传统,是唐人所说的"以古之比兴就今之声律";宋以后诗论家多从创作技法探讨"以古为律",这与唐人多从创作精神来谈有所不同。

Poets in the prosperous and middle Tang Dynasty tried to reform regulated verses because of the obvious disadvantages of regulated verses and the distinction between pre-Tang poetry and regulated verses,therefore coming into existence the trend of replacing regulated verses with Pre-Tang poetry.Poets of DU Gu-ji,YUAN Zhen,BAI Ju-yi and the book of Wen Jing Mi Fu Lun illustrated it theoretically.The poems of DU Fu since Tianbao Period inherited the traditions of poems in Han and Wei Dynasties.Poetic critics ...
