从20世纪70年代到90年代,语言学界的多位学者曾对系统功能学派的创立者M.A.K.Halliday进行了四次学术性质的访谈,成文的访谈录是进行学术研究宝贵的第一手资料。对这四份访谈录进行综合梳理,并以Halliday的学术生涯为主线,围绕萌芽于学生时代的语言观、从事语言教学的影响、被称为"融合派"的语言学思想以及汉语研究等问题,追溯这位一代宗师的语言思想发展脉络,探讨其当年的学术研究情况在日后建立的系统功能语言学基本思想上留下的印记。

This paper is a summary of the four interviews with M.A.K.Halliday in the past 30 years.Following the development of Hallidays ’academic careert,he present study centers on the issues of his linguistic viewpoint budded in school daysl,anguage in education,the'integratingc'amp and his study on Chinese,with the purpose of tracing the source of some of the important thoughts in Hallidayan linguistics.
