摘要
“五声”(宫、商、角、徽、羽)是否曾经作为汉字字调的一种标示方法?它与“四声”字调标示法之间又有着怎样的关系?本文通过考证“五声”作为古代的一种数字序号曾被用于给汉字按照字调分类的事实,来证明早在沈约的四声说之前,汉字便拥有了“五声”字调标示法。并通过探讨“五声”字调标示法与音乐的联系,进一步揭示永明声律论的产生同音乐的关系。
Were pentatonic scales(宫、商、角、徽、羽) once used as a method to mark tones of Chinese characters? What relationship between it and the method with the four tones? Based on the fact that the pentatonic scales were once used to as order numbers to classify Chinese characters by tone in ancient times,the author proposes that the marking method of tones of Chinese characters appeared much earlier than Shen Yue s four tone theory.
