距离腾冲县城40多公里的固东镇荥阳村,过去曾有一片沼泽地,长年生长着许多芦苇和毛竹。世居在这里的村民利用它们编制美丽而实用的花纸伞。几十年前,花纸伞曾经卖得火热,但眼下它们同老艺人一起“衰老”了。

There was once a swampland in Yingyang Village of Gudong Town, about 40 kilome- ters to Tenchong County,where reeds and moso bamboos grew all the year round.The local villagers made use of the plants to make beautiful and practical colored paper umbrellas,which were sold well in Baoshan,Dali and Kunming. The beautiful umbrella can keep off the rain and shield off the sunlight.
