翻译腔的句法结构探析——以《大卫·科波菲尔》的两种译本为例

层次结构和线型结构是英汉句子结构的根本差异。文章拟从这一差异出发,通过对《大卫.科波菲尔》两种译本中的部分译例进行分析,揭示翻译腔这一翻译通病在结构层面上产生的根本原因,指出打破英语句子的层次结构并按流水句重组译文是确保译文地道的根本策略。

The crucial syntactic difference between English and Chinese is that between the hierarchical and linear structures.In the light of this difference,by analyzing some versions from two different translated works of David Copper field,this paper attempts to probe into bottom of translationese,an error even an experienced translator may fall a victim to.This paper concludes by pointing out that breaking up the original structure and reorganizing the translation in Chinese run-on sentence patterns is the most crucial step to ensuring the readability of translation versions.
