This paper is an analysis of the realistic significance revealed by Mary Shelley's science fiction novel Frankenstein through the employment of the theory of dialogues of the Bakhtin School.It is found that the novel shows an imbalance between people in responsibilities and interpersonal relations,as well as multi-voice dialogues among the characters of the novel,asocial members and readers of different eras.The novel indicates Mary(Shelley')s rebellious spirit and embodies transcendentalism.
