The Dissertation on the Constable of Deng Lai in Ming Dynasty

登州、莱州地处山东海防的前沿,对明代海防具有十分重要的地位。明代登莱巡抚的设立,是与明末特殊的历史环境和登、莱地区的海防战略地位密不可分的。明代登莱巡抚共有13任,有固定的驻所和辖区,负责地方军务,主要是抗击后金。明代登莱巡抚政绩良好,在明末辽东战局和维护山东海防安宁中作出了突出贡献。但由于各种原因,它并未能挽救明王朝的危亡。

As the outpost of Shan Dong's coastal defense,Deng Zhou and Lai Zhou are important to the coastal defense of Ming Dynasty.The setting-up of the constable of Deng Lai has relation with the special history situation during the late Ming Dynasty and the special coastal defense stratagem status of Deng Lai.There are thirteen officials who occupy the constable of Deng Lai.They have fixed station and popedom.Their primary responsibility is dealing with the military affairs.They have good achievements and contribute to the Liao Dong war situation and the saving of Shan Dong's coastal defense.However,because of being restricted by varies of factors,it couldn't save the ruling of Ming Dynasty.
