合音词就是指把两个相连的单音节词的读音拼合成为一个音节的词,又叫合音字。新乡县方言中的合音词有三十多个,可划分为有音有字类和有音无字类。合音词的词汇意义和语法功能同它们所代表的词语或短语基本相同。着重从生成音系学的角度,通过建立音系表达式探讨其形成。

The combined - syllable words are the one syllabic words which are composed by two adjoining monosyllables . There are more than thirty combined - syllable words in Xinxiang county dialect, they can be compartmentalized into two types: having pronounciations and words;having pronounciations but no words.The lexical meaning and grammatical function of the combined - syllable words are the same with those words or phrases which they represented. The article stresses to discuss their formation through establishing phonological representations from the point of view of generative phonology.
