韩愈的嫂子荥阳郑氏具有较高的文化素养,更具有善良的心地与高尚的人格,在公婆、丈夫都不幸去世后,独立支撑家庭,抚育尚在幼年的弟弟韩愈,并使之成人成才,这是唐代社会生活中比较特殊的事例。

Han Yu's elder brother's wife with her family name ZHENG was from Xingyang——nowadays Henan province of China.She had a comparatively nice education as well as a kind heart and a noble mind.When her husband and her parents-in-law died,she supported the family alone and continued to nurture Han Yu,a very little boy then,till he became a great writer and distinguished statesman.Such a case was genuinely rare and impressive during the time of the Tang Dynasty.
