On Extension Approaches of Participatory Forestry Techniques——A case study on an extension project of directional breeding techniques for high-yielding plantation of large clustered shoot and timber production bamboos

农林科技成果的推广转化率低是制约农林科技进步的关键因素,大型笋材用丛生竹丰产林定向培育技术推广项目组,依据项目实施地土地利用现状,提出应用参与式林业技术推广模式,充分调动农民的生产积极性,提高农户自主发展的兴趣和自我发展能力,充分借鉴当地农户的实践经验,协调好项目组、当地政府和农户三方的关系,从而使项目得以顺利实施.

Low extension and conversion rates of the scientific and technical results from forestry and agricultural research programs are the critical factors confining the progress of science and technology in forestry and agriculture.According to the present situation of land-use in the project implementation area,the participatory approach for forestry technology extension was introduced by the technology-transfer project of directional cultivation for high-yielding plantation of large clustered shoot and timber production bamboos.It was proved that the participatory approach could not only greatly motivate the production enthusiasm of local farmers,but could also promote the interest and capacity of self-development of rural households and harmonize well the triple relations among the local government,households,and the project conductors.As the result,the technique extension was implemented successfully.
