茅盾早年致力于对妇女解放问题的研究,除了理论上的关注,他还在小说中创造了时代女性形象系列。《野蔷薇》即是茅盾对时代女性的塑造。他在他的女主角身上所闪现出复杂矛盾的心绪:尽管在作品中他大多采用的是女性视角,但是男权意识却挥之不去,成为他难以跨越的障碍。

Mao Dun devoted himself to resarching woman emancipation movement is his early years.Besides theoretical consideration,a series of female characters were created in that age.For example,'Wild Rose',by which Mao Dun reflected his complicated sentiments.Although he used mainly female perspective,his patriachal consciousness kept surfacing.which actually is an insurmountable blockage for him.
