The author abstract the 'staging space' in architecture as a special space model in this paper to analyze their forms, functions and use in architecture, so as to emphasize their transitional function between open space and interior space ,their accommodative function to the microclimate of the architecture , and their reformable function to the outer interface of architecture. It will have actual meaning in some way in today when the modern architecture is tending to multifunctional and aggregative because the integrated comparison and analysis is based on their artful using in actual engineerings.
