Review of the energy consumption for mobile Ad hoc networks

移动Ad hoc网络是一种没有固定基础设施支撑的自组织网络,MAC协议是设计Ad hoc网络的一个关键问题。然而,在MAC层,除了无线资源的分配方式外,能量消耗直接关系到节点的生命周期,成为制约网络可用性的一个重要问题。本文就近年来移动Ad hoc网络中的能量控制方面的问题及有关MAC协议中采用的能量节约策略进行了研究分析和评述。

A mobile Ad hoc network is an autonomous network system which has no inherent infrastructure,and the MAC protocol is a key for designing an Ad hoc network.However,on the MAC layer,besides the allocation methods of the wireless resource,the consumption of the energy is the useable constraint for the network since it corresponds directly to operational lifetime.In this paper,the energy control and relevant strategies of some MAC protocols nowadays in mobile Ad hoc networks are described and evaluated.
