摘要
斯坦福大学在短短的百余年时间内由昔日的“乡村大学”一跃成为今日美国西部之“哈佛”,居于世界一流大学的前列。本文就斯坦福大学的办学宗旨及培养目标、发展定位及治学方略等方面进行分析,剖析其成功的原因,以期对我国高校创建区域一流大学乃至世界一流大学提供借鉴。
In the short period of one hundred years Stanford University has been the one of top-ranking universities as Western Harvard in U.S.This paper analyzes its running tenets,cultivating aims,developing orientation and academic strategy to find the reasons for success,and hopes that universities in China can use these for reference to establish the top-ranking universities territorially and internationally.
