概述了我国风云一号(FY-1)极轨气象卫星和风云二号(FY-2)静止气象卫星的发展概况与成就。介绍了即将发射的新一代风云三号(FY-3)极轨气象卫星的主要功能和技术特点,以及配置的10通道可见红外扫描辐射计、26通道红外分光计、20通道中分辨率成像光谱仪、微波辐射计、微波成像仪、紫外臭氧探测仪、地球辐射收支仪和空间环境监测器等仪器的用途。给出了FY-2静止气象卫星的基本任务、主要探测性能和技术特点,以及在研的新一代风云四号(FY-4)静止气象卫星的关键技术和遥感仪器。分析了国外新一代三轴稳定静止气象卫星的发展与载荷配置。总结了我国气象卫星业务系统的应用和取得的效益。
