Seeking the Origin and Tracing the Memory:A new theory on Partisan Prohibitions

汉末党锢一案,因其在中国历史、中国文化史上的特殊地位,历来研究者极多。本文同意前人从文化、家族等角度所阐发的对党锢一案的观点,进一步指出桓帝本人在党人案的成立中,具有特别的作用。而党锢历史的重构,是古人宁可忽略细节的龌龊、而向往历史中的光风霁月的表现。

Many researches about the Disaster of Partisan Prohibitions have been done due to its special position in the Chinese cultural history.The author agrees with the former researches that explained the case from clan and cultural background,further pointing out the particular role Heng Emperor played in the case.
