The paper introduced the development status of the coal preparation technology with the heavy medium cyclone. According to the market demands, in combined with computational fluid dynamics technology and separation theory of heavy medium cyclone, the three products heavy medium cyclone with multi medium feeding and non pressure coal feeding, the nonmetal mine cyclone and the new difficult sreparation coal heavy medium cyclone were developed and their characters were introduced.
