摘要美国华裔英语文学是一种跨文化写作,承载着文化翻译的职能.将其译为中文时会出现一些特殊的问题,譬如回译.本文拟对<喜福会>及其中译本进行个案研究,旨在揭示原文独特的语言技巧的回译对当前的翻译理论与实践所构成的挑战,以及原文的中国文化专有项回译过程中译者所应注意的几个问题. Chinese-American English literature is a kind of cross-cultural writing functioning as cultural translation.Special problems will occur during its translation into Chinese,one of which is back-translation.The present paper is to carry out a case study with The Joy Luck Club and three of its Chinese translations,aiming to reveal the challenges posed to current translation theory and practice by the back-translation of the special linguistic maneuvering in the source text and a few problems calling for translators' attention during the back-translation of Chinese culture-specific items.
