The analysis of the function and influence of the source-language writer,the translator and the target-language reader has in literary translation shows that only the translator is the subject of literary translation.Neglecting the subject role the translator plays in literary translation,Writer-orientation Theory and Reader-orientation Theory lead to the insufficient acknowledgement and affirmation of the translator's status and the translated version's literary value,which is inevitably unfavorable to the development of translation cause.
