The specific features of the new E 65/E 75 generation of Rieter combers are described. The features include the technological processes and the resulting characteristics of the combed sliver. E 65/E 75 have made it technically and technologically possible to move to a new dimension in the high-performance comping of cotton. Nip rates of 450 nips/min are now possible in mill operations for quality yarns.
