基于小波变换的图像空间分层压缩编码新算法

New Spatial Scalable Coding Algorithm of Images Based on Wavelet Transform

摘要 图像压缩算法如EZW和SPIHT都具有较高的压缩率,为了能使图像压缩编码算法同时具有较高的压缩率和良好的压缩性能,分析了SPIHT算法,在相同压缩效率的情况下,将其进一步改进,使其具有空间可分层特性。提出了改进的分层SPI-HT算法(SSPIHT)。实验结果显示了新算法的有效性。 Image compression algorithms such as EZW and SPIHT have a high compression rate. In order to get spatial scalability at same time, the SPIHT algorithm is analyzed. At the same compression rate, it is improved such that it has scalability. The spatial SPIHT algorithm (SSPIHT) is given. The simulation results show that this algorithm brings up higher compression ratio compared with SPIHT method.
