This paper introduces an automaticn counting system on the production line of glass on the basis of AT89C2051 SCM(single-chip microcomputer). In this system SCM can accurately detect the number of pieces of glass and the number of cuts by the photoelectric switch and the proximity switch that fixed on the production line, and then transmit the data to the upper computer in the way of RS485.The upper computer uses KngView to analyze, memorize and print the data.
