This paper analyzes the underlying reasons of the circumstance of the sex inequality in childbirth from a new perspective. It discusses the negative effect of the sex inequality in childbirth and some measures are put forward: accept new conception of childbirth; get rid of sex discrimination; help the parents to eliminate their worry about not having a son to take care of them as well as punish illegal way to detect the sex of child.
