Gui Youguang was a distinguished prose writer. Introduced widely by Qian Qianyi,the study of prose was gradually in fashion at the beginning of Qing Dynasty. Due to the special culture background and the great achievement gained by Gui Youguang’s prose art,he was chosen from many famous prose writers in the Ming Dynasty by Tongcheng school to be stated by ancestors as a typical.
