Natural Scenery and the Ideal Personality of Taoist School

本文以为,道家自然人格理想和儒家伦理道德人格理想相对而立。魏晋士人发现了自然山水,从而救治了先秦道家人格理想在践行过程中的“病态”。也促成了自然山水成为中国古代士大大安顿现世人生的精神家园。这一点在今天仍不乏现实意义。

This article proposes that the ideal natural personality advocated by Taoism is different from the ideal ethic (moral) personality advocated by Confucianism. The scholars in Wei and Jin Dynasty valued the beauty of natural scenery, and therefore made up for the weakness of ideal personality viewpoint hold since the Qin Dynasty by Taoist school. It also contributes to the fact that natural scenery has become a spiritual homeland for the ancient Chinese scholars to relax from the real life. This even has practical meaning nowadays.
