This paper sets fort that the pith ot the important thoughts ot 'Three Represents' lies in its advanced quality, which is required by the development of the Party career in building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Based on analyzing the relationship between the Party advanced quality and the Party mass character, the paper argues that the communists in colleges and universities can't maintain the long effects of the advanced quality until they better embody and carry out the important thoughts of 'Three Represents'.
