The previous working procedure for building geographical database is how to acquire data. The method that use digital topographic map on hand is very expedite and economic. Based on the experimentation of converting, the paper introduces some approaches on how to carry out spatial data conversion from the AutoCAD data to the file-format of ARC/INFO. In addition, the paper discusses the method for data attributer how to be rightly in connection with spatial data after comparing the file format of digital topographic map with the file format of ARC/INFO.
