On Thomas Paire's Political and Democratic Thoughts

作为激进的资产阶级政治思想家 ,潘恩在一系列著作中提出了天赋人权和公民权利、社会与政府等政治价值关系范畴。他还将这些理论运用于社会现实 ,猛烈地抨击了英国政府的暴政 ,批判了君主政体和世袭制度 ,主张北美大陆应脱离英国而独立 ,建立代议制的民主共和国。

As a radical bourgeois political ideologist, Thomas Paine put forward such categories of political values as the relationships between Natural Right and civil right, society and government, etc, in a series of his works. And he applied these theories to social realities and denunciated violently the tyranny of British government. Furthermore, he criticized the Meanwhile, he advocated that North America should break away from Britain and establish the Representative Democratic Republic. His ideas had a major contribution towards the American Revolution.
