In recent years, the system of property right has become the focus of economic and law studies and also the major theoretic subject that must be solved in the process of China's reform of state-owned enterprises and the process of establishing and improving its market economy. Through the comparison between and analysis of Marx' s and North' s theories on the system of property right, we can have a clear realization of the problems concerning the system of property right and find out an effective theoretical guidance for the reform of our state-owned enterprises, the establishment and improvement of our market economy system as well as the construction of our legal system.
