To deal with issues concerning ethnicities and religions appropriate ly will help ensure the smooth operation of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and so it is necessary that we pay immediate attention to the study of the theory concern ing ethnicities and religions and that a team of experts be built up to explore efficient ways to popularize knowledge and theory concerning ethnicities and rel igions, with a view to researching religious customs, dietary restrictions, and cultural taboos so that no one is inadvertently offended during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
