This article predicts that the number of crimes and the types of crimes committed by urban migrant workers might increase with preparations for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games going on. What we should do now is to deal with this issue calmly, to analyze the causes rationally and to explore corresponding countermeasures. We should take practical and effective measures to protect the rights and interests of urban migrant workers with emphasis to be laid on crime prevention so as to reduce chances of crime occurring.
