This article put forward that it was very important to carry out rehabilitation and training service for the adult with mental retardation in present period. The author analyzed the concepts of rehabilitation and training, and summed up the basic methods of implementing rehabilitation,training and main service modes. There were suggestions for improving rehabilitation and training service: (1) a pilot project should be developed; (2) the experience should be summarized; (3) the support to the adult with mental retardation should be promoted further.
