摘要
罗伯特·路易斯·斯蒂文森是19世纪末新浪漫主义文学的代表,其小说因极具独创性而备受推崇,而他的散文创作却因缺乏创造性而受到较少关注。本文从现代叙事学理论入手,对斯蒂文森的苏格兰散文叙述者及其聚焦特点进行分析,并进一步从心理层面对该类散文的叙事特点进行讨论。
Robert Louis Stevenson is an original and creative writer in English literature. But his Scottish essays have received comparatively little critical attention. This paper analyzes the narrative characteristics of his Scottish essays in terms of the narrators and the focalizations, and discuss those characteristics from the psychological perspective.
