20世纪40年代的连绵战火,唤起中国女性的大崛起,使女性文学创作风貌焕然一新:女性性别意识更加深化,强化了"对于自身透彻的觉悟",对女性本体的历史命运和心灵历程的反思达到新的高度;女性写作形态更加多样化,女性文学呈现前所未有的丰富多彩;女性言说形式更加民族化通俗化,既借鉴西方现代技巧,又汲取中国传统特别是民间文艺的营养,真正走进中国民众特别是妇女心中。

The flames of war in the 1940s awakened Chinese women and women's literature creation took on an entirely new look. Women's consciousness of sex was further deepened, which strengthened women's thorough understanding of themselves and helped them reach a new height in the self-examination of their own historical destiny and soul's journey; women's writing style became more diversified and women's literature presented unprecedented richfulness; women's saying forms became more nationalized and popularized, borrowing from modern techniques in the West as well as taking in the nourishment of Chinese tradition, especially folk literature and art, thus rooted in Chinese people's hearts especially the women's.
