The Study of Multimedia Conference Service Capability in the Next Generation Network

通过分析对比现有基于H.323的多媒体会议业务的技术,阐述了下一代网络实现多媒体会议业务的特点和优势,并研究了下一代网络中媒体网关、软交换控制器、媒体服务器和应用服务器等功能实体之间实现多媒体会议业务的相关技术.最后展望进一步丰富下一代网络多媒体会议业务能力的其他相关技术.

Compared with current existing multimedia conference service techniques based on H.323, the features and advantages of multimedia conference service provided in the next generation network(NGN) are depicted in the paper. Furthermore, techniques to implement multimedia conference service among NGN functional entities such as media gateways, softswitch controllers, media servers and application servers are proposed. Finally the other techniques to be investigated in order to enrich capabilities of multimedia conference service are foreseen.
