Efficacy of External Application of Chinese Medicines and Their Problems

中药外治理论是中医药理论的重要组成部分 ,中药在外治理论、外治作用机理、外用功效研究方面尚存在一定问题。提出在建立常见中药外用功效的基础上 ,依据穴位刺激 ,经络传感 ,并结合现代经皮给药和全息生理理论等 ,进一步完善中药外治理论 ,使中药外治理论更加丰富。

The theory of external application of Chinese medicines holds an important place in traditional Chinese medical theories. However, there are some problems to be studied in its mechanism and efficacy. The author suggests the TCM theory of external therapy be made more perfect and workable on the basis of summation of external efficacy of Chinese medicines commonly used and in accordance with theories of point stimulation and meridian transmission. Fruthermore, all these should be combined with modern theories of percutaneous medication and holographic physiology.
