试论翻译对中国通俗文学形成与发展的影响

Translation and the Development of Chinese Mass Literature

文章回顾了历史上两次中外文化剧烈碰撞之时中国通俗文学的发展状况,指出佛教的传入和佛经的翻译对中国通俗文学的语汇、句法、叙述方式,甚至主题思想和文体类型的形成都产生了巨大的影响;而在五四时期,通俗文学的地位也随着“小说救国论”而得到提高,翻译文学为通俗文学作家接受国外新思想、学习国外新的写作技巧开辟了畅通的渠道。从这两次翻译浪潮中我们可以看出,翻译之于中国文学,尤其是通俗文学,在体裁确立、主题思想、叙述方式和技巧运用等各方面都有比较积极的作用。这也对我们在当前资讯更发达、交流更迅捷的今天如何利用翻译进一步推进中国本土文学的繁荣提供了有益的启示。

Based on a careful analysis of two important phases in Chinese literature history,the author focuses on in what aspects translation has exerted positive influences on the formation and development of Chinese mass literature.The findings are expected to inspire our current study on the connection between translation and development of mass literature in China against the background of globalization and advanced communication technology.
