摘要
《西游记》中的沙僧,老实善良、埋头苦干、任劳任怨、默默奉献,表现了中华民族的美德。同时,他又循规蹈矩、驯顺服从、明哲保身,具有浓厚的奴性意识。这一形象体现了民族传统文化的特点,又表现了农耕文明背景下普通民众的精神特质。
In Journey to the west, Shaseng is provided with traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, such as honesty, diligence, hard work, etc. Meanwhile,he is also provided with strong ideas of slavishness,such as tractable, docilement, being worldly wise, etc. The images of Shaseng give expression to characteristics of traditional culture as well as ordinary people s ideological level in agricultural civilization times.
