摘要 目前在数字光纤通信实验教学中开设了光纤传输特性测试实验,其中对于光纤损耗的测量方法普遍采用的是插入法,为了让学生掌握如何在工程实际中进行光纤损耗的测量,在实验中引入了基于光时域反射仪(OTDR)进行测量的后向散射法,并通过两者的比较得出结论。同时也使学生了解光时域反射仪的工作原理和基本操作。 The experiment of testing the optical fiber transmission characteristic is offered in the optical fiber communication experimental teaching. Generally we employ the method of inserting tested fiber to measure its loss. This particle introduced a method based on the optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR). The intensity of backscattered light is measured and used to determine the fiber loss. The result is got by comparing the two methods.
