本文通过对世界文学史上的经典小说《堂吉诃德》的文本细读 ,展示它在叙事艺术上为小说发展带来的革命性变化 ,揭示出《堂吉诃德》的元小说特征。同时本文力图挖掘小说叙事游戏背后的理论意义 ,即《堂吉诃德》的自我阅读、自我指涉的特征 ,以及对于小说文体本质的思索。

This article attempts to present the revolutionary change of narrative art created by Cervantes' Don Quixote and the great contributions it has made to the development of modern novel. The article points out that Don Quixote shows how a novel should be written and read. Many proofs could be found in the text which constitute this characteristics of self reading and self reference. Accordingly, this article concludes that Don Quixote can be regarded as a metafiction in its reflective statements of the novel itself.
